About Shell
When I first began designing Ketubot over 10 years ago, most of the Ketubah designs on the market at that time were rather traditional in design. I was inspired to try something new! Those first designs, which ultimately became the cornerstone of my entire collection, incorporated traditional, biblical symbolic imagery but in a fresh and modern way. This contemporary twist appealed to me as a painter. I liked the challenge of trying to depict traditional and timeless concepts of love, such as commitment, Individuality, Family and Loyalty in an artistic and visual way.
The resulting Ketubah designs resonated deeply with modern wedding couples. Finally, they were able to find a Ketubah that honored both the tradition of the Ketubah as a ritual object as well fulfill their desire to purchase a fine art piece and begin their personal art collection.
My Ketubah designs have always appealed to true art lovers. In the last 10 years my company, Shell Artistree LLC has worked with literally, thousands of wedding couples. My collection has grown and evolved over time, but my personal design aesthetic and commitment to designing beautiful artwork that stands the test of time and that my clients will be proud to hang in their home has remained the same.

About Shell in her own words
I consider myself to be a creative visionary with an authentic entrepreneurial spirit...a true blend of art and business acumen.
I'm most at peace when I am mixing colors, brush in hand, surrounded by Pat Metheny’s melodic jazz (my musical muse) and the warmth of the sun shining white light over my shoulder onto my watercolor paper. My art studio is my haven...Here, I am calm and focused and receptive to receive the sweetest artistic inspiration which luckily seems to float effortlessly into my outstretched hands. It is the place where I breathe free and am at my best. I'm always intrigued to know which of my designs resonates most with my clients...their choice tells me a lot about them. We become connected simply because my art, every stroke, contains so much of me.
I am curious by nature and always seeking new and innovative ways to express myself through my art. Whether I am hand painting a new Ketubah design, painting for my own pleasure, envisioning an Invitation concept or designing a modern collection of textiles for the home décor marketplace, my focus and vision remains steady; to create exceptional, high quality artwork that is infused with beauty, integrity, heart and soul.
Running Shell Artistree is a personal joy. A group of creative, professional, smart, interesting and lovely women make up my team. We laugh an awful lot, but we also all work hard, creating and building this company, day by day, to fulfill my vision and dream. A little piece of each of us ends up in every product we create.
I am active within various social media outlets and consider myself fortunate to have built and connected with a loyal circle of accomplished artists, poets, writers, photographers and musicians. This talented, international group of dynamic souls has been instrumental in challenging me as an artist and supporting me as my art evolves.
