ARTIST STATEMENT:
I have a fascination with hand thrown pottery. My personal collection spans 40 years of clay moving through hands. Each vase is unique, possessing an organic quality, graceful and fluid. One of my favorite still life painting subjects is my pottery collection. I enjoy trying to capture the luminescence of the clay... the gentle slopes and twists... watercolor lends itself well to this endeavor. These paintings make unquestionably beautiful designs. These watercolor studies, with their liquid lines and soft colors, make a timeless and elegant ketubah choice for those who favor a more contemporary aesthetic.
